There’s nothing like a cute outfit! But, what’s even better (for me anyway), is when you go shopping and pick out a cute new piece! Whenever I get new clothes, I am always hesitant to wear them until I find the perfect occasion. However, when I went shopping at Target recently, I was on a mission to find the perfect floral dress for my Urban Outfitters interview that was earlier today. Lucky for me, there was several floral dresses that were 20% off, and a floral dress was exactly what I was looking to purchase.
There were a couple that I liked, but the one I ended up buying was this periwinkle blue one with white flowers on it. They didn’t have my size, so I had to go a size up, but I tried it on in the fitting room (which I rarely do), and it fit perfectly.
I chose this particular dress because the color, periwinkle blue, is in right now, and it goes great with my freshly dyed platinum blonde hair. I also paired it with a straw fedora from T.J. Max (link for hat is to Amazon) and some white leather pointed-toe booties that I got from the Charolette Russe liquidation sale a couple of weeks ago (similar here). The colors match perfectly, but you could also do a brown shoe as well. The hat gives this look a more hipster-y feel, but I also like this look without the hat. Either way, It’s beachy and perfect for spring. An outfit like this makes me want to enjoy a nice meal on the outside patio of a nice restaurant, For a cute winter outfit, you could wear this with black or tan tights, over the knee boots, and possibly a leather jacket.
This dress also has a nice tie front detail at the top, letting you show off the perfect amount of cleavage. I really think it adds something to the dress! Also, the top is a little big on me, so I am able to wear it off-the-shoulder, even though it’s technically not supposed to be worn that way. One of my favorite things about this dress, is that the scooped back shows off my tattoo. I love when my tattoo shows!
How would you style this dress? Where would you wear it?
