OOTD // striped jumpsuit

Hey Babes!

Jumpsuits are a huge spring trend, and I can see why, they’re super cute! Awhile back, I did a post all about them, which you can read here. But, I’m posting another jumpsuit post because this one in particular not only looks amazing, but you can wear it in many different ways.

The suit I’m going to be showcasing today is a red and black pinstriped jumpsuit from Charming Charlie. I’m wearing a medium, and the wide legs stop at my ankles, making it look awesome with heels. Not only does it have wide legs, but it has spaghetti straps that are perfect for showing off my tan and feeling cool in the warm months.

The first time I wore it, I wore it with a black belt around the waist, a black layered beaded necklace, a black cardigan, my favorite black hat, and black fringed booties. The black belt gives my midsection shape and makes it appear slimmer, while the shoes make me look taller and add shape to my legs, the rest is just a nice touch. My body looks extra elongated since I’m wearing heels and the jumpsuit has vertical stripes. Because of the belt and necklace combo, extra attention is drawn to my top half. If you don’t like the idea of that, you can ditch the necklace and keep the belt, or vice versa.

The second time I wore this jumpsuit, I styled it by putting a black long sleeved crop underneath, so 90’s! I switched the felt hat out for a newsboy cap, and I wore the same heels and belt as the first time, but I ditched the necklace because I thought it would be too much black. A black or white t-shirt would also work underneath this.

The next time I wear this, it will probably be the same as the first time, minus the cardigan. I know, I’m an outfit repeater.

Unfortunately, this specific jumpsuit is no longer available from Charming Charlie. I found ones that were SORT of similar here, here, and here, though.

However, you can still wear one of these jumpsuits, or one you already own, in a similar way. Just play around with the accessories and colors. For example, if it has a tie front, you may want to wear a belt but not the necklace. Or, if the main colors are something like white or blue, you might want to wear a straw hat and not a felt one.

What is your opinion on jumpsuits?

dress well. eat well. live well.
