Lately I’ve been seeing buttons all over the clothing racks, especially on dresses and shirts, but occasionally you can find them on jumpsuits! The button down trend is amazing, because you can find button down pieces in almost any color, style, or pattern, such as pink, off the shoulder, or animal print. Pink snakeskin shirt? Clear plastic buttons add an extra touch, like this one from Charming Charlie. I wear this to work all the time, paired with white cropped boyfriend jeans from Target (similar here) and my straw Steve Madden Fedora, along with brown perforated peep toe heels from Charolette Russe (similar here). I also unbuttoned the bottom two button and tied the ends in knot.
I think white looks the best with this top, but you could also wear it with light distressed denim shorts or jeans or a denim skirt.
The buttons on my snakeskin top are plastic, but a lot of the buttons I’ve seen are wooden, like this mixed animal print maxi dress from T.J. Maxx. I usually don’t like mixed prints, especially flowers and stripes, but when it’s animal print, I found that I absolutely love it.
The big wooden buttons going down the dress make it all come together. You don’t need a lot to dress this up, so you can throw it on to run some quick errands or add some heels and hoop earrings like I did. I also threw my hair up in a messy bun for the perfect summer look.
