VMAS // my favorite looks from the 2019 video music awards

Hey Babes!

How many of you watched the MTV VMAS last night?!? Unfortunately, I had to work until close last night, so I missed out on all the fun, but that didn’t stop me from checking out all the great fashion! Below are my top 7 looks from the night, and there’s some great ones!

1. Taylor Swift

I think this has to be my favorite look from the night! Taylor Swift is ROCKING it in her custom Versace look. It’s colorful, screams Versace, and the thigh high boots totally pull it together. I wish I had the legs to pull this off!

2. Bebe Rexha

For one thing, I’ve loved Cristian Siriano since project runway, and I absoluetly love the fact that he designed a look for Bebe Rexha. I think the material looks a little cheap, but it could just be the lighting. However, I think this dress really flatters her shape and I love the cut.

3. Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X has been taking his horse to more places than the old town road lately, and he looks absolutely perfect in this silver suit. I like how the blazer is cropped, so it doesn’t look like too much silver. Also, instead of wearing just a white shirt underneath, he opted for a feathery one, and feathers were a major trend on the red carpet last night.

4. James Charles

Typically, a lot of guys wore blazers to the award show, but not James Charles! He might have been “cancelled,” but he’s stuntin’ in this all white look. I love how one boot is higher than the other, it’s so edgy and fashion forward! I also like how the belt cinches his waist, without it, he wouldn’t have as much shape, and the big shoulders of his look make his waist look even more narrow.

5. Tana Mongeau

As much as I hate snakes, I actually loved Tana Mongeau’s look. Even though Tana wasn’t the only one on the red carpet holding a slithery reptile, she was the only one in a gold lava like look. The print almost looks as if it is moving, and it reminds me of a designer volcano. I think the gloves and the round glasses are also a nice touch, without them, it just wouldn’t be the same.

6. Lance Bass

Pink is my favorite color, so it’s no wonder I loved Lance Bass’s look, he’s giving me total Elle Woods vibes! This look is casual and dressy at the same time, with white sneaks and a t-shirt paired with dress pants and a blazer. Pink is definitely Lance’s color.

7. Bella Hadid

So Bella Hadid’s look was a little basic, but she pulled it off. I like how she has straps connecting her matching top and skirt, which shows off her body. It pulls the entire look together. Tom Ford did a great job with this one.

You can see a list of ALL the looks from here, let me know which ones were your favorite and/or least favorite! Were they on this list?
