Style // how to turn your summer wardrobe into a fall one

Hey Babes!

Spooky season is officially upon us! I love the fall for three main reasons: oversized sweaters, boots, and of course, the PSL. And, with every new season comes new fashion. In the summer it’s all about crop tops and shorts, but in the cooler months, we switch those out for boots and jackets.

However, if you can’t afford a whole new fall wardrobe, here’s some ways to turn your summer pieces into some awesome cold season looks.

1. Tank Top Over a Long Sleeved Shirt

In your spring and summer closet, you probably have a lot of tank tops. To utilize these for fall, you can put a long sleeved shirt underneath them. I know this look is really popular with slip dresses, but any garment without sleeves will do, such as this pink corduroy button down dress from Beall’s Outlet with a white long sleeved shirt from Target underneath it. This look gives me Rachel Greene vibes, and I’m loving it.

2. Tights

This look is probably my favorite. If you still want to sport your sundresses this fall, try wearing tights under them. This not only keeps your legs warm, but it is a great way to keep wearing your dresses or shorts when the temperature drops a few degrees. I love pairing tights with this green floral dress I got from Plato’s Closet awhile back. It’s comfortable, and it has pockets! It can’t get any better than that, can it?

3. A Crop With a Jacket

I love wearing crop tops when I go out, even if it’s freezing. However, sometimes I’m forced to bring a jacket, so why not pair a cute bomber over a crop, like this black one from Francesca’s that I paired with a white crop from Marshall’s and leather leggings from Target. If your stomach gets too cold, you can always zip up the jacket halfway, or, if your arms get hot, you can tie the jacket around your waist.
